In mid-2021, HighBrook Investors and Proptimize purchased two vacant distribution centers. The distribution centers, consisting of a total of approximately 50,000 sqm of industrial and office space at Eikenlaan 265 and Distributieweg 17 in Alphen aan den Rijn, were purchased through an off-market transaction from Hoogvliet for the CityLink Portfolio.
The distribution center on Oak Avenue comprises a total of approximately 45,000 sqm including warehouse, cold storage, mezzanine, ADR space and office space. The cross-dock complex on the Distributieweg consists of approximately 5,000 sqm of business and office space with an outdoor area of approximately 7,700sqm
HighBrook Investors and Proptimize recently fully leased the distribution centers.
Technische Unie (Sonepar Nederland Vastgoed B.V.), the wholesaler of technical installation materials for construction, installation and industry, is further expanding its activities in Alphen aan den Rijn and rents approximately 30,000 m² at Eikenlaan 265. The remaining approximately 15,000 Sqm on Eikenlaan has been rented to a logistics service provider.
The distribution center on the Distributieweg of approximately 5,000 sqm is fully leased to Electrolux. Electrolux is the world leader in home appliances and appliances for professional use, thanks to its sales of more than 40 million products to consumers in more than 150 markets each year. The company focuses on innovative solutions developed based on insight into what consumers really want. Their products include refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washers and dryers, vacuum cleaners and kitchen built-in appliances from well-known brands such as AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi.
